Product Manufacturer: Kodak

Product Name: Easyshare Z740

Product Review: The Kodak Easyshare Z740 is my first digital camera.  I read online reviews for months before finding the Z740, then I just had to wait for it to be released!

I LOVE the 10X optical zoom.  It really makes the difference comparing my photos to photos from digital cameras with much less zooming capability.

One of the fun features are the sound effects. I love the sound effects - sci-fi is still my favourite. So far I've remembered to turn off the sound effects when I'm in a quiet room

Another fantastic feature of this camera is the ability to switch between using the LCD display or the viewfinder. While standing outside in the bright sun, it is next to impossible to view the LCD panel, but with one hit of a button, I can switch to viewing through the electronic viewfinder.

The camera is very light.  It comes with a neck strap and because the camera is so light it doesn't dig into the back of my neck like my old manual SLR did.

It took a few outings for me to really get a handle on the whole idea of digital photography... meaning I can take so many pictures, and if I don't like it, well then I can always delete it later! I'm using a 256 meg SD memory card and it fits over 150 photos on it.

I bought the Kodak Easyshare Z740 bundled with the Kodak Easyshare printer.  I have only used the printer a few times, but it is quite and prints a 4x6 photo with remarkable quality.

The only aspect of the camera I don't like is the lens cap.  I find it pops off far too easily.
