Product Review: After the Great Blackout of August 2003, I bought everyone in my family one of these radios for Christmas.  

I use mine all the time!  It's great for camping and for in the backyard.  I got tired of winding it (lazy, I know!) so I put batteries in it a year ago and it's running on the same batteries.

It comes with a handy carrying case (which my dog unfortunately chewed to pieces) and a shortwave radio guide for its two shortwave bands.

It has a little flashlight built into it - helped us finish a monopoly game during a camping trip last summer.

And of course, during all power outtages (which for some reason have been numerous in the last year!), it's so comforting to actually have a radio that works without electricity.

Two thumbs up!
