What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is the 21st century's version of a treasure hunt. Using your hand held GPS unit, you use geographical coordinates (obtained from one of the many world-wide geocaching websites) to find the cache. The cache is usually found in a small waterproof container, and can be any number of things, often more souvenir-like than valuable. A logbook is contained in the cache for geocachers to record their visit. The geocachers are welcome to take the treasure, and in the spirit of the game, should leave a treasure of their own behind.
